Your Questions, Answered.
A boutique cleaning service is centered around individual attention and a limited clientele. By intentionally keeping our weekly schedule small, we ensure that every home receives dedicated focus and a reliable, predictable result every single visit. This approach allows us to build a consistent, one-on-one partnership tailored entirely to your specific routine, built on absolute trust, discretion, and respect for your personal space.
No, you don't need to be home. Most clients aren't. As long as I have safe access to your home (key, code, or entry instructions), I can complete your cleaning while you're out. If you prefer to be home, that's completely fine too. Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Life happens; I get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let me know at least 24 hours in advance by text, call, or email (whichever you prefer) and there's no fee. Inside that 24-hour window, a late-cancellation fee may apply because that time is reserved for your home. Lockouts or no-shows are charged the full-service rate. If there's an emergency, please reach out, communication is always welcome.
When a cleaning spot is reserved for your home, that time is fully set aside for you. As a solo cleaner, I don't take multiple clients per day or run a large team so each appointment is a dedicated block of income and planning. When a cancellation happens inside the 24-hour window, it's usually too late for me to fill that spot, which means the entire workday shifts. The fee helps cover that reserved time and keeps the schedule fair and consistent for everyone I clean for. I always understand that life happens, communication is always welcome.
If something doesn't feel quite right after your cleaning, just reach out within 24 hours. I don't offer refunds but I DO offer a satisfaction guarantee. I will gladly come back and take care of anything that needs attention. If I hear from you after 24 hours, I can still make a note of it and address it during your next scheduled visit. Your home isn't just "another appointment" it's part of a small circle I care about deeply. I want you to feel good about your space everytime I leave.
A little bit, yes. I'm there to clean (that's my job). But I do ask that toys, clothes, and general clutter be picked up off the floor, and that any surfaces you want dusted or wiped are cleared. I'm happy to lightly tidy small areas to make things look neat, but I don't do full organizing. As a solo boutique cleaner, my time in each home is carefully planned, and having things picked up helps me focus on what I'm there to take care of: dirt, grime, and buildup.
Dishwashing and other daily household tasks fall under maid or housekeeping services, which focus on the everyday flow of a home. My work is different. I provide professional cleaning so caring for the home itself by removing dust, dirt, grime, and buildup, and using the correct products and methods for each surface. If there are only a few dishes in the sink, they can be set aside so the sink can be cleaned and then placed back. When the sink is full, it will be skipped. The same applies to laundry or clothing on the floor: items aren't sorted, folded, or put away, but they may be moved aside so the space can be cleaned properly.
I work within safe lifting limits, so I don't move anything over 30lbs or large furniture pieces. Smaller items that can be gently slid without risking damage to the floors can usually be shifted enough for me to clean underneath. For bigger pieces like couches or heavy furniture, those need to be moved before your appointment if you'd like behind or underneath cleaned. I also bring a small two-step stool and can clean anything comfortably reachable from that height.
Yes, absolutely. Extra tasks like oven or fridge cleaning can be added to your appointment, but they do need to be scheduled ahead of time. If you request an add-on at the time of your cleaning, it will be added to your next visit. Details about each add-on, including any preparation needed, are listed on my Enhancements page.
I absolutely adore pets, and friendly fur babies are welcome to be out while I clean as long as they're comfortable with strangers, vacuums, and normal cleaning noises. If your pet is nervous, overly protective, or uncomfortable when someone unfamiliar is in the home, please keep them in a secure room where they feel safe. If your pet is kept in a room during cleaning, I simply skip that space for the day. For safety and liability reasons, I cannot let pets outside. I use pet-safe products, but it's still best to keep pets from being right next to areas whiles I'm spraying and wiping things down. I lightly clean around food and water stations, but I don't move bowls or handle feeding areas while your pet is out.
I am insured, bonded, and licensed, and I take great care in every home I clean. If I accidentally damage something while I'm there, I will let you know right away and send photos so we can address it together. I personally cover replacement costs up to $150 for any damage caused by me. If you notice damage after your cleaning, please contact me within 24 hours and include photos so I can review it. This helps me understand what happened and handle it promptly.
No, I provide everything. I'm ISSA certified, which means I have extensive training in the science behind cleaning products and how they work. I've done a lot of research to choose products that are effective, neutral-pH, and safe for your home, family, and pets. I also use a HEPA-filter professional vacuum that is cleaned and disinfected between home, and all of my tools are sanitized at the end of each day. If you have a specific product request, you're welcome to leave it out for me. I'm happy to use it as long as it's accessbile. I'm not comfortable going through cabinets or storage areas to look for products. If you prefer I use your vacuum, I can, but please keep in mind that results may vary depending on the machine. My equipment is designed for professional-level cleaning, so using a different vacuum may affect the final outcome.
I accept credit and debit cards, and I also offer ACH payments if you prefer to pay by electronic check. When you book services, your payment information is securely stored through Stripe. I don't have access to your card or bank details directly. Payments are processed the morning of your cleaning. If an additional charge ever needs to be added, I'll let you know beforehand, and it will be processed after the appointment.
Yes, absolutely. You're never tied into a long-term contract, and you're welcome to stop or pause service at any time. I just ask for a 7-day notice so schedules can be adjusted smoothly. If I ever need to pause or discontinue services on my end, I provide the same 7-day courtesy.
